At first, when this was delivered, we thought it was HUGE and possibly too big. But, it grew on us, and now we love this can. Its made of a heavy plastic material, and sits pretty high. We don't have to change the trash that often through out the day because this is a rather large size. The open top is perfect for easy disposal (especially for people throwing away ice cream cups).
