This Cleveland drain tempering valve (DTV) kit is designed for applications where hot effluent discharged into a drain or sewer needs to be cooled to meet plumbing code requirements for maximum allowable temperature. It has a 2" NPT tee and a 3/4" NPT cold water connection. This model is compatible with select Cleveland Gemini floor steamers, as well as kettles with SF3 or SF4 swing drain funnel accessories and kettles or skillets mounted on ST28 or ST55 equipment stands with drain drawers. This DTV efficiently moderates the temperature by mixing cold water with hot drain water, ensuring that the effluent is reduced to below 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

This system operates without the need for electricity, making it an ideal solution for both new installations and retrofits. Plus, it activates only when the discharge temperature exceeds the set threshold, conserving cold water by automatically shutting off when it is not needed. The system is capable of cooling up to 25 gallons per minute (GPM) and can be installed in any orientation, offering flexibility and ease of use. It also features a clog-resistant design and includes all necessary components for easy installation. By conserving both cooling water and minimizing wastewater, this drain tempering valve kit provides a cost-effective and sustainable solution for managing effluent temperatures.
