I bought these cups as a cheaper alternative to the Carlisle ones they are a knockoff of (I have a few of them). While at first glance they are similar enough (aside for the Choice one having pebbling on the bottom while the bottom of the Carlisle is smooth, and the Carlisle tumbler being a bit thicker with a more rounded rim), the quality is not at all alike. In the photo I uploaded, the left hand side is the Carlisle tumbler, the right is the Choice brand. You can see that the Choice brand is more colorless while the Carlisle has a bluish tinge. The Choice is more brittle and develops cracks very easily with normal use and in a residential dishwasher. It also gets cloudy. A few have broken altogether. The Carlisle, though a few months older and getting the same treatment, is still clear and with no signs of wear. While the Choice tumbler was very cheap, I should have paid more and gotten the Carlisle ones.

We have purchased 100's of these cups for our school cafeterias. They are not durable and do not hold up with daily use especially in commercial dishwashers. We offer bulk milk, the milk leaks out of the small hairline cracks these cups get after about 30 days of daily use. If you're seeking a durable product for daily use, these cups are not it. We purchased the blue 8 ounce Choice Plastic Pebbled Tumbler.
