What’s the proper etiquette for using a charger plate at my table setting?
When preparing the table for your dinner, occasion, or event, you should place the charger plate where the entree plate belongs in a proper table setting. There should only be one charger plate per place setting, and silverware should be positioned in the same way as it would if a charger plate was not present. Once it comes time to serve, soup bowls, salad plates, or entree dishes are presented to guests and set upon the charger plate.
When is it appropriate to take the charger plate off the table during a meal service?
Deciding when to clear your table of all charger plates depends on the type of venue you have. Some restaurants have charger plates solely for decoration, and they are removed before guests are served any food whatsoever. Traditionally, charger plates are used for presenting soups, salads or appetizers and are removed before the main entree dish is served. However, many restaurants today leave charger plates at the table setting throughout the entire meal. Rule of thumb is that charger plates should always be removed from guests’ place settings before dessert is served!
Shipment was really fast. I ordered 60 charger plates. 24 out of 60 have scratches on them. Not one nor two but 24. After I started reading policy of the company I couldn’t even bother. Not only that the event is tomorrow so I have to find replacement tonight as I’m writing this. So discouraging. How can someone put item with scratches inside a box and ship it to a client? It’s not dirt trust me I tried to clean it! SMH

The look of these chargers is really nice if you can manage to get any in box that aren’t damaged or blemished. Out of two cases (24 total chargers), I was able to salvage 5. Most have some awful black smudges on them, like ink or something. It’s not removable. Some were cracked. Aside from the cracked ones, the issue appears to be a manufacturing process issue. I’m ordering these for a wedding and am sort of stuck now. But, if I could select a different vendor or charger, I would do that. Thankfully, I have enough time to keep ordering replacement orders to hopefully get enough!
