Frequently Asked Questions From Customers

How can I best maintain the non-stick qualities of this item?
To prevent food from sticking to your non-stick surface, we recommend lightly coating it with oil and wiping off any excess with a soft cloth or napkin. Applying sprays on non-stick coatings can cause food to stick more readily than using a fat or oil. Sprays can leave a glue-like coating, often missed during the cleaning process, which will begin to build up and cause foods to stick. Additionally, metal utensils and abrasive cleaners should not be used with non-stick surfaces to prevent scratching and damaging the coated surface.
Aluminized steel is carbon steel coated with an aluminum silicon alloy through a process called hot dipping, having the strength of steel in addition to the advantages of corrosion resistance and better heat distribution of aluminum.
The capacity indicates the liquid volume of the mold when it is filled to the brim. When using this mold with batters containing leavening agents, fill the mold with 60-70% of the total capacity.
Your pan can be cleaned using a clean towel, or a towel with pan lubricant on it. You should avoid washing your pan as much as possible. If necessary, AMERICOAT® ePlus glazed pans can be washed with pH-neutral products, but this should be done sparingly. Never use acidic cleansers, alkaline detergents, or abrasive scrubbing pads. These will corrupt the glaze prematurely and might lead to corrosion. Your pan should not be soaked in water or washed in an automatic dishwasher. Thoroughly dry your pan immediately after washing by placing it into a warm oven.

This donut pan is great for making homemade donuts! I love using it at home and at the bakery. I just make a basic donut dough and place it in these molds.
