Not calibrated. Dangerously hot at 521F. The first one that came with the popcorn machine had the same problem. Smoking the oil and burning a black coating on the bottom that was very difficult to clean. I read that at this temperature, if left unattendend could START A FIRE. Not cool at all. I can't believe this hasn't happened to many others.

This is what I had to purchase 3 weeks after warranty. I'm not holding out too much hope. However, this one has held up about a month already!

Don't love the pot. I had to purchase 2 replacement ones already. The piece on the top that connects to the machine, easily falls off and gets lost and it is impossible to find a new one in any hardware store and webstaurant doesn't sell it either.
