We used this item a little different than intended, and it was exactly what we needed! We have a large high volume brewer, but we preferred standard airpot (the pump style) for our set up. The gap between the airpot and the filter always made a mess. I found this and it has bridged that gap by providing the perfect platform for a standard pump airpot to sit while being brewed into! They really should sell it with that intention. It also is much more sturdy than you might think considering it has a lack of structure on the back side. 6 months of use and still not issues!
