Bob's Red Mill 25 lb. Gluten-Free White Rice Flour

I was expecting a very high level of quality, however, I was disappointed in the texture of the Bob's Red Mill Brand brown rice flour. The flour texture should better be listed on the website as "coarse" closer to sand rather than fine. Everytime I use the flour, I endure the disappointment of having a very large bag of undesired flour to use. I often will place the flour in my BlendTec blender in an attempt to reduce the size of the coarse grains. Very disappointed with this purchase.

This really isn't very finely ground at all. I run a gluten free bakery and make my own flour blend. The price on this brown rice flour was great, so I ordered the 25 pound bag thinking I could just rest my batter longer to overcome the coarser grind. Nope. I'm so disappointed in it. I knew it wasn't a superfine grind and thought it would be ok, but instead I have about 20 pounds left that I really don't care to use. My breads are ok using this, but muffins, quick breads and cookies all have a grittier texture. I even let the cookie dough age for 3 days in the fridge and it's still gritty. I'll buy BRM for other products, but definitely not this brown rice flour.

Similar consistency to the white rice flour, but gives a bit of whole grain earthiness and taste good! Has worked well in our gluten-free all-purpose flour mixes. Can't beat Webstaurant's prices!

Ok love Bob’s red mill and the price on here is phenomenal! Can’t beat it! I love that it comes in a large package and it works great in my recipes. We use a lot of rice flour so this was a great deal and addition to our pantry!

I got this for bread baking a to keep from sticking to the Banneton. Works great so far. I haven't used this product before but seems kind of coarsely ground?

This is a great gluten-free flour to use for any recipes, even you can use them for your shared family recipes. It’s a good texture if you’re making muffins or quick breads, you can use milk and eggs and it always turns out great.

Bob's Red Mill is a brand that never fails. The brown rice flour is not finely ground, however works great in gluten-free flour blends. Would recommend any business who is looking into an alternative flour to all purpose.

Same product but so much less expensive than directly from Bob’s Red Mill. Even less with Plus discounted shipping. So glad I checked here first. Webstaurant store saved me a lot of money. Will for sure be repurchased.
