It also includes a black latching lid with an additional opening for adding ingredients while blending.

Good for only smoothies with ice nothing else. Not juices it doesn’t blend the fruit good. Does not blend spices. Not enough force. Like the others. I have always loved blend tec. Now I would never buy it again. I both 3 and all of them trash. Over $. I am very disappointed. I don’t recommend at all.

We use this blender for smoothies and it works great! Once in a while, we have to blend them twice but it's not an issue because we can just push the button and walk away while it counts down.
