Ateco 7 Piece Polycarbonate Plain Oval Cutter Set I chose to buy the plastic cutter sets because I find that with the metal cutters they warp over time and do not retain their shape, as well as the fact that when I press down on metal cutters they hurt my hands. With the Ateco plastic cutter set the top edges are rounded so when you're pressing down you do not feel any pain. One thing people notice with metal Cutters is that the cut is very clean however when I used the Ateco cutter set, the fondant shapes were also cut very clean and crisp. Just like metal cutters, The Ateco Oval Cutter Set has sharp, not hurtful edges perfect for cutting shapes into fondant or gum paste.
Finally found oval cutters. I never even thought about this shape in cutters for some reason or another but I am happy I made the decision to purchase as it is a great addition to my collection of cutters.
As with the other sizes, these are wonderful. The cut could be a little sharper, but the value is there so I keep going back and buying all the sets.
