Its 3" column provides maximum stability while integrated levelers allow your table to be used on uneven surfaces. This base is easily installed beneath a compatible Art Marble tabletop (sold separately) with regular #9-1" wood screws that ship with the base when purchased with a compatible top, eliminating the need for specialized mounting hardware.
