We bought these to use as juice and water glasses in a coffee shop. I love the shape and feel of them; they look very sharp. We picked the Cardinal glasses over other because they are tempered, and presumably break resistant. Far from it!! These are very easily broken, and when they go they go into a million little pieces. We hand wash everything, and four or five times have had to drop everything to clean a very thoroughly shattered glass out of the sink. The final straw was this weekend, when a customer approached the counter with a bit of broken glass and a bleeding finger. He got a glass, filled it with water, carried it to his table, and had the rim break of into his mouth. Wow!! Buy something else. Broken glassware is par for the course, but we haven't had anything close to this degree of trouble with our other stuff. Good luck!
