Prevent dangerous thermal expansion with this Amtrol Therm-X-Trol ST-42V 20 gallon vertical thermal expansion tank. This tank is designed for use in closed, potable hot water systems. It accepts expanded water as the system temperature increases, which activates the diaphragm to keep pressure below the valve setting. This diaphragm is made of heavy-duty butyl, and it also helps separate the system water from the tank's air charge. This handy tank saves energy, eliminates potential safety hazards, and reduces system maintenance.

This tank has an outer shell made of durable steel with a urethane topcoat for additional strength. It has an antimicrobial polypropylene liner to keep the interior of the tank clean and protected. It has a maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum working pressure of 150 PSIG. It has an ample 20 gallon capacity, and it can be paired with multiple units to accommodate larger systems. This unit has a floor-standing, vertical design with a sturdy base. It comes pre-charged with a 40 PSIG air charge, and it has a 3/4" NPTF water connection.
