Seat is very firm, which I actually don't mind at all because sagging cushions aren't comfortable. Being used in a high traffic waiting room so it gets a lot of use. It lasted about 3 yrs before the leather started peeling.

This chair is great for sitting upright, without slouching (firm support). It's classified as "office furniture" for that reason, I'd guess, but works great for my living room. 'Feels very sturdy and has a nice appearance
