Plate casters give you maneuverability for a wide variety of heavy items, but they're best for refrigerators, freezers, and coolers. Most plate casters are designed to be fastened to the bottom of your equipment with four screws, one in each corner. Because these casters have more than one fastening point, they can be attached more securely than casters that feature only one screw. Additionally, you can find swivel plate casters with or without brakes, so you can choose whether or not you’d like the ability to lock your equipment in place.
You can purchase plate casters in sets or individually. So, if you are putting your equipment on casters for the very first time, a set makes it easy to purchase several of the same item. However, if you’re simply looking for a replacement part, you can find single casters, as well.
