This cement salt cellar is heavy and sturdy. The first one came broken in three pieces but Webstaurant sent a replacement right away. It does have a chemical smell to it, so I can only hope that the materials and sealers are food-safe. I like that there is a notch to keep a spoon inside and I like the little spoon that is included.
