I cant speak on its intended use - I've been trying to find something for dish scrub brushes and scratchers for my 3-bay sink area, this is the perfect solution. gets all the wet stuff up and out of the way and keeps everything dry. Suction cups stuck perfectly with to the SS sink wall. Perfect solution to my issue
