One way to keep your customers excited and coming back for more is by updating your signature coffee menu to reflect the changing seasons. With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, now is the perfect time to introduce a new and festive addition to your lineup - the Irish Cream cold brew.

What Special Equipment Do I Need?

There are a couple of barista tools that will come in handy when making this Irish cream cold brew:

  • Milk frother: A milk frother is an affordable hand tool that whips up a luscious cold foam in seconds.
  • Frothing pitcher: These frothing pitchers are designed for frothing milk without splashing, making them ideal for cold foam.

We use a combination of heavy cream and 2% milk to achieve a velvety cold foam with a thick creamy texture. You can also make cold foam using skim milk, which produces a greater quantity of foam with a light, airy texture.

How Much Is a Pump of Syrup?

Popular flavoring syrup brands like Capora or Monin dispense about 1/4 ounce or 1/2 tablespoon of syrup with each pump.

What Is Irish Cream?

The origins of Irish cream flavor can be traced back to the 1970s when a company called Baileys introduced the world to Baileys Irish Cream. This iconic liqueur was created by blending Irish whiskey with cream and other ingredients to achieve a smooth and velvety texture with a hint of sweetness. The success of Baileys Irish Cream sparked a trend in the food and beverage industry, leading to the creation of various Irish cream-flavored products.
