The Operations Leadership Trainee is an entry level position into salaried leadership which provides the structure, time, and guidance for an individual to learn the various aspects of a WebstaurantStore distribution center, as well as the expectations of our leadership team. Reporting to the Distribution Center General Manager, the Operations Leadership Trainee is expected to be flexible regarding schedules, available to work on any shift to fill leadership gaps or rotate through departments and shifts to gain a full understanding of the operation. The goal for an Operations Leadership Trainee is to complete the training program and be placed in a permanent leadership position within the facility.

• Support the management of day-to-day decisions of the assigned department/shift regarding performance, process and leadership.
• Learn and understand the process of each department/shift, make connections as to how each department interacts with each other, and identify areas of improvement.
• Actively engage in leadership discussions and demonstrate the ability to apply WebstaurantStore leadership principles to daily work.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for assigned departments; identify and resolve operating issues as needed, including support of corrective actions and progressive discipline process.
• Interact with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations / rules are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
• 2 years of relevant experience in management preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a distribution environment preferred.
• Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
