Immediate Help Needed! Local Box Truck Driver - $27.00 Hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Driver maintains a valid Class B driver’s license and performs local driving /delivery duties with a Company truck. This position also supports the Inbound, Receiving, & Outbound departments by performing a variety of material handling duties in the warehouse, including operating forklift equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform driving and delivery duties with a Company truck (must maintain a valid Class B driver’s license and acceptable driving record)

• Ensure that Company truck is maintained in clean and working order

• Perform inbound receiving and material handling duties, including operating forklift equipment to lift, load, and deliver product throughout the warehouse

• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of daily operational needs

• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including all relevant DOT and safety policies 

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Class B driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Must have forklift experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and familiarity with local and county roads

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast paced environment

• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence

• Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

• Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
